1. Who we are

SpendPeek ("we", "us", "our") operates the website spendpeek.com, the web app app.spendpeek.com and the SpendPeek Chrome extension. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

2. What we collect

Account information

To create a free or paid account we collect your email address. You can sign up in two ways:

• Sign in with Google: we only request your email address (scopes "openid" and "email"). We do not access your contacts, files or any other Google data.
• Email link: we email you a one-time sign-in link. The link expires after 15 minutes.

We also store whether you agreed to receive product emails, how you signed up, and your plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Extension data

The SpendPeek Chrome extension only runs on Meta Ad Library pages (facebook.com/ads/library) and on our own web app. When you reveal an ad's spend, the extension sends our server the ad's public Library ID, its public EU reach, and the CPM and frequency you set, together with your account token. We use this to calculate the estimate and to count your free reveals (3 per week on the free plan). We store which ads you revealed in a given week only to apply that limit.

The extension does not read, collect or transmit your browsing history, your Facebook account, or data from any other website. Your settings (CPM, frequency, display preferences) and your account token are stored in your browser.

If you use "Analyze", the extension opens ChatGPT or Claude with a prompt built from the public ad you chose. That prompt is sent by you to that service and is governed by its own privacy policy.

Usage data

On our website and web app we collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage) through PostHog to improve the product. If you accept cookies, we also use Meta Pixel for ad measurement. The Chrome extension does not include analytics.

3. How we use your data

• To create and run your SpendPeek account and subscription
• To calculate spend estimates and apply the free plan's weekly limit
• To send transactional emails (sign-in links, purchase confirmation, account notices)
• To send product emails, only if you agreed to receive them
• To improve the product based on anonymous usage patterns
• To measure ad campaign performance (only with your consent)

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising profiles.

4. Cookies

We use a consent banner on our website. You can accept or reject cookies at any time. Essential cookies (sign-in session, consent preference) are always active. Analytics and advertising cookies are only enabled after you grant consent.

5. Third-party services

• Google: optional sign-in (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Stripe: payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Resend: sending sign-in and account emails (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Cloudflare: hosting of our website, web app and API (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
• PostHog: product analytics on our website, EU-hosted (posthog.com/privacy)
• Meta Pixel: ad measurement on our website, consent-gated

6. Data retention

We keep your email address and account data for as long as your account exists. Records of revealed ads are only needed for the weekly limit and are not used for anything else. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we delete your data within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, invoices).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction or deletion
• Object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Data security

We use HTTPS encryption, signed sessions, single-use sign-in links and follow industry best practices to protect your data. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of SpendPeek after changes constitutes acceptance.
